The Late Model Division at Western Speedway is taking on a new look in 2012 with the announcement that The Keg Restaurants are entering a partnership to become the Series sponsor. The series called " The Keg Late Model Drivers Challenge" will consist of four race nights, each race night will see Twin 50 lap features, for a total of 8 races to crown the Series Champion. No club or membership fees required, come race and have fun.

Spearheaded by Bill Smith Jr., Steve Copp and Daryl Crocker the new series will take the Late Model Division to the next level and bring the best Late Model drivers from the Island and Mainland to Western Speedway to battle for the Championship. The excitement has already begun as there have been enquires from all over B.C. requested information regarding the series. Highlighting the season will be a $10,000 point's fund to be paid out at the end of the year.

Other posted awards include $100 fast time award per night from Custom Pro Drywall, $50 per Heat Race Winner from LD Race Cars, $100 Hard Charger Award per night from Steve Copp Construction and 1 New Tire per race draw from OK Tires Ltd in Saanichton.

The nightly payout will be $125 per car with an additional $100 for off island cars.
