SYDNEY, Aus.—Canada's Kathy Tremblay made a major statement in her continued quest to secure a spot on the start line at the 2012 Olympic Summer Games after putting down the race of her life with an eighth-place finish at the ITU World Triathlon Series season-opener in Sydney, Australia on Saturday.
Victoria, BC (ISN) - The TC10K social media tracking service was launched today. The free service will enable runners and walkers to have their time and placing transmitted to their Facebook or Twitter page during the race. The TC10K takes place on Sunday April 29.
Victoria, BC (ISN) - The eighth and last race in the Frontrunners Island Race Series – Sooke 10K – took place yesterday, Sunday, April 15. The race, which was hosted by the Island Road Racers Club, had 352 finishers. The race was followed by the year-end awards for the entire series.
Poland (ISN) - The Canadian team of 11 CIS cross-country runners raced Saturday April 14, in Poland at the 2012 FISU World Cross-country Championship. Led by UVic cross-country and track coach 
Victoria, BC (ISN) - A new women's-only race will take place on Sunday, June 3 in Langford, BC – the first time that a race for women exclusively has been held on Vancouver Island. The Victoria Goddess Run will be a half-marathon, 10k and 5k starting and finishing at Langford City Parks.
