| Canadian Bobsleigh and Skeleton Athletes Set for Back-to-Back International Racing in Canada |

The Whistler Sliding Centre will play host to the first of back-to-back Canadian stops to wrap up the 2012 World Cup season, February 2-4, for the top bobsleigh and skeleton athletes on the globe. More than 150 athletes representing 21 countries will slide into Whistler for the penultimate stop on the 2011-12 World Cup calendar. Media are invited to attend the Canadian squad's final training session, February 1. The women's skeleton team will hit the track at 1 p.m., followed by the men at 2:45 p.m. Canada's bobsleigh athletes will slide at 5 p.m. (all times PST). International skeleton athletes not competing on the World Cup will heat up the Calgary Track for the Interncontinental Cup – a feeder series to the World Cup, February 3-4. Race times are at 6 p.m. MTN both nights. The World Cup then travels to Calgary for the final race of the season, February 9-11, 2012. Tickets for the Whistler event can be purchased for $10 now at www.whistler.com, by calling 1.800.WHISTLER (1.800.944.7853), or in person at the Visitor Centre. Children six and under are free. A WILL CALL pick-up booth will be set up at the base of the Excalibur Gondola on February 2, 3, and 4. Spectators can also purchase tickets by CASH ONLY at the base of the Gondola on race days. Media can pick up accreditation at the media centre which will be set up at the venue. Media Parking: Limited parking will be made available for media in Lot 7. Media may also gain free access to the venue via the Excalibur Gondola.
