(ISN) - After opening the RBC Cup with a pair of losses, the Penticton Vees started to win when it mattered, including Sunday's championship final, where they received a power play goal from Joey Benik with 51 seconds to play, to defeat the Woodstock Slammers 4-3 and capture the Junior "A" National Championship.
(ISN) - The British Columbia Hockey League is pleased to announce the results of fan voting for the top player from each decade of league history.
(ISN) - Down 2-0 in the series and 2-0 late in the second period of Game 3, the Brooks Bandits summoned the effort necessary to earn a 4-3 comeback win over the Penticton Vees making the Doyle Cup a much more interesting series.
The 2012 Doyle Cup shifts to the South Okanagan Events Centre for Game 3 Tuesday night after the Penticton Vees won both games in Alberta to take a 2-0 lead in on the Brooks Bandits the best-of-seven series.
