CFL Draft Sees 24 CIS Players Selected

Saskatchewan’s Heenan selected first overall

cfl logo_sq_381 OTTAWA (ISN) – Ben Heenan, an offensive lineman from the University of Saskatchewan, became the sixth CIS player in as many years – and the 10^th in the past 13 years - to be selected first overall in the CFL Canadian Draft when the Saskatchewan Roughriders called his name at No. 1, on Thursday.

Women Vikes Take Silver at Keg Cup, Men Fourth

Parker makes game-winning save to send Vikes Women to Keg Cup final

vikes watv_logo VICTORIA – For the second game in a row at the 2012 Keg Spring Cup, the game winner was decided by a penalty shoot out. UBC's Janine Frazao capitalized in the final minute of regular time to tie the game up but Vikes keeper Stephanie Parker's big save on UBC's fourth penalty kick gave the UVic side the final 3-2 edge.
