Saskatchewan’s Heenan selected first overall
OTTAWA (ISN) – Ben Heenan, an offensive lineman from the University of Saskatchewan, became the sixth CIS player in as many years – and the 10th in the past 13 years - to be selected first overall in the CFL Canadian Draft when the Saskatchewan Roughriders called his name at No. 1, on Thursday.

VICTORIA - At the annual Brown Cup race, held on the Gorge Waterway, today, Mar. 24, the UVic Vikes women's rowing team was successful at capturing their 18th Brown Cup title, defeating UBC by a 0.63 second margin.

Parker makes game-winning save to send Vikes Women to Keg Cup final

VICTORIA – For the second game in a row at the 2012 Keg Spring Cup, the game winner was decided by a penalty shoot out. UBC's Janine Frazao capitalized in the final minute of regular time to tie the game up but Vikes keeper Stephanie Parker's big save on UBC's fourth penalty kick gave the UVic side the final 3-2 edge.
