OTTAWA (ISN) – Ben Heenan, an offensive lineman from the University of Saskatchewan, became the sixth CIS player in as many years – and the 10th in the past 13 years - to be selected first overall in the CFL Canadian Draft when the Saskatchewan Roughriders called his name at No. 1, on Thursday.

(ISN) – The third-seeded Laval Rouge et Or got off to a slow start on Friday afternoon in their CIS men’s volleyball championship quarter-final against the No. 6 Calgary Dinos, but a strong performance from RSEQ MVP Karl De Grandpré earned the Quebec champions a four-set victory to open the tournament in the Main Gym of the Queen’s University ARC.
