GVBA Names 2012 Pee Wee AAA Managers

gvbanew(ISN) - The Greater Victoria Baseball Association (GVBA) has named Keith Davidoff and Dave Gramlich as the Managers of their 2012 Pee Wee AAA Summer All Star baseball teams (for players born in 1999, 2000).

Keith Davidoff has 11 years coaching/managing experience in house league, prospects and BC Minor Baseball (BCMBA) summer all-star baseball. Keith's BCMBA accomplishments for GVBA include the Provincial Silver Medal in 2006 (Mosquito AAA T1), Vancouver Island Champions and Provincial Silver Medal winners in 2008 (Pee Wee A) and Vancouver Island Champions in 2009 (Mosquito A). With a wealth of coaching support already in place Keith is eager to develop a top level team to vie for a Provincial Gold Medal. Keith is a NCCP Level II certified coach.

Dave Gramlich is entering his 8th year coaching baseball in Victoria with house league, prospects and summer all-star management experience. Summer all-star accomplishments include a Gold Medal at the 2012 RMMBA Noel Rehaume Memorial Tournament and the Silver Medal at the 2012 BMBA Summer Fun Tournament (both Pee Wee A). Dave is looking forward to the challenge of managing an elite team in the highly competitive Pee Wee AAA division. Dave is a NCCP Level II certified coach.

Yet to be officially named, GVBA's two 2012 Pee Wee AAA teams will select their players in late April. Player and team development will occur through May and into June. The Pee Wee AAA season then runs from late June through late July, and is followed by the Provincial Championships in early August (teams must qualify).

Players interested in these teams must register for spring house league play through their local association (only GVBA registered players are eligible for summer all star teams). Announcements will follow regarding summer all-star baseball information sessions for players and parents, and player tryout dates and times.
